Here at lough Owel Lodge we are preparing to open our doors on the 1st of April. Taking up the leaves and getting all ready for a great year ahead. We will welcome back old friends and hopefully make new ones.

Sonny and Cher, our resident donkeys,are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our guests. They can, once again, take centre stage and enjoy all the attention that our visitors give them not to mention all the carrots.

 

 

 

   Don’t miss the fun in Mullingar.

Mullingar parade

St Patrick’s Day   in Mullingar is a great day and this year will be no exception. Thanks to  great efforts by all entrants – both voluntary and business – the extremely large crowds who attend the Mullingar St Patrick’s Parade will be  very well entertained as the parade  passes from  the Green  Bridge to Dublin  Bridge – It is estimated that over 30,000 people  will line the streets of Mullingar for this fabulous festive occasion.

 

Mini Marathon in Mullingar.

The inaugural Mullingar Half Marathon will take place on the 17 of MARCH 2015. This will be run in aid of CHILDLINE and all proceeds will go to this great cause.

The race will start from the centre of Mullingar town and head into the scenic wilderness of the Westmeath country side, taking in the beautiful Royal Canal and its surrounding beauty and bog-lands. The finish line will be right in the centre of Mullingar town.
