About Lough Owel Lodge

Our home is situated at the end of a tree lined drive that has a real country feel, and extensive gardens and land that extends down to the shore of Lough Owel. The house is endowed with the charm of more elegant times, accentuated by a richness of antiques and traditional decor - including, in the dining room an array of oak furniture in the dining room.

In the adjoining lounge the emphasis is on comfort. In the sun room visitors may relax in the tranquility of the surrounding countryside. The bedrooms, are as individually named they are in character, taking their names from the local lakes and are individual in character.

At Lough Owel Lodge locally grown produce is used where possible.

Facilities include a tennis court, sun patio and for children on damp days, a games room. Dogs are welcome, but are not allowed inside the house. Guests can enjoy leisurely strolls on the 40 hectare farm.The Mullingar Sailing Club is situated along the lake shore which is a Natural Heritage Area. You can  enjoy panoramic views fron the top of Captain's Hill communing with the sheep, the cattle and indeed with Nature itself. Our farm has participated for many years in the Rural development Protection Scheme and our farm is now a registered  organic farm.
